EDUCATION STATEMENT

The Burtin Group education team is a group of professional educators with decades of experience as teachers, coaches, administrators, curriculum planners, and professors. The depth and breadth of this experience allow us to provide support to all members of the education community —administrators, teachers, coaches, and parents— by bringing practical, hands-on experience to the consultancy work. We are committed and have extensive experience in, partnering with schools and teachers to raise the standards, rigor and expectations for students.

The Burtin Group education team offers comprehensive support and guidance in the following areas:

Instructional Support
We assist clients in creating instructional and organizational systems that support the overall vision and mission of the institution. In addition, we provide assistance with implementing and monitoring these systems to ensure they are carried out with fidelity by all members of the team. We serve as a thought partner to school leaders and leadership teams as they work to provide robust and innovative instruction for all students. We are also able to provide project management services for teams as they work to establish school culture, prepare for accreditation, implement new programs, create school improvement plans and revise existing curriculum.

Coaching & Development
Each member of our team has extensive classroom experience. This allows us to provide targeted feedback and real-time instructional coaching to classroom teachers. We are adept at coordinating and facilitating professional learning communities. Our team works with clients to identify the unique needs of the instructional staff. We use this data to create differentiated professional development that enhances the instructional practices of all teachers, regardless of their experience level.

Academic Assessment
Our team understands the necessity to make data-based decisions in order advance school culture and student achievement. To that end, we assist clients in designing comprehensive teacher and school leader evaluation systems. We work with leadership teams to assess the needs of the academic program and then use this data to create and implement a collaborative action plan. We help teachers and administrators create effective student assessment systems. In addition, we assist teachers and administrators in conducting effective data cycles in order to analyze a variety of student data in order to improve the overall educational program.
